Biography

Mr. Peter Stein serves as Executive Director at Medea Natural Resources. He served as Executive - Managing Director at Arete Capital Partners. Stein's career has spanned over 25 years working as a financier covering companies in Latin America, US, Europe and Asia. Peter is the founder and managing partner of TaurInvest, a New York based boutique investment bank specialized in providing capital markets and M&A advisory services to clients doing business in Latin America. Peter was previously a senior executive at a US based private equity mining firm between 2007 - 2014, where he was responsible for US and Middle East investors and successfully raised over $700m of funds. The role included advising on sovereign and political risk for investment opportunities in Latin America. Peter was responsible for starting the Latin America investment banking activities for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, which became one of the firm's most successful international ventures. Peter started his career as a metal trader for ACLI International. Peter has previously been a Director of Orvana Minerals, Minera, ATIMM, Kiska Metals and Geoinformatics. Peter graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
