Biography

Mr. Scott Tobin serves as Senior Partner at Battery Ventures. Mr. Tobin serves as Board Member at BigPanda. He serves as a Board Member at Cross River Bank and HiBob. He served as a Board Member at Jeeng, and Zerto. Mr. Tobin also serves on the Board of Directors at Champions Oncology, Diablo Technologies, Evidence Sensors, GuardiCore, Cumulus, and CrediFi. He is also a Board Member of Stratoscale and Champion Oncology. His investments include Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM), Anobit Technologies (acquired by Apple), @stake (acquired by Symantec), Champions Oncology, ITA Software (acquired by Google), Kashya (acquired by EMC), The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE; acquired by Euronext), MetroPCS (NYSE: PCS) and ZeRTO. Mr. Tobin was named multiple times to the Forbes Midas List, which ranks top venture capitalists from around the world, and in 2009 relocated to Battery's Israel office to build the team there and to lead the firm's expansion into Israel, the Middle East, and Europe. Before joining Battery, he spent time in corporate finance and was previously the Director of Corporate Development at Future Vision, a venture-backed software company that was sold to Softkey International. He graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a BA in International Relations and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.
