Biography

Ms. Lauren Basmadjian serves as Managing Director, Co-Head of Liquid Credit and Head of US Loans & Structured Credit at The Carlyle Group. Ms. Basmadjian serves as Chief Executive Officer & Trustee at Vertical Capital Income Fund.She served as Senior Portfolio Manager at Octagon Credit Investors. She is a member of Octagon's Investment Committee and serves as the Portfolio Manager of 12 CLOs, 1 Separately Managed Account, and 3 Commingled Funds. Prior to becoming a Portfolio Manager, Ms. Basmadjian managed Octagon's workout efforts and also oversaw the leisure & entertainment, retail, consumer products, business services, food & beverage and technology industries. Prior to joining Octagon, Ms. Basmadjian worked in the Acquisition Finance Group at Chase Securities. She graduated Cum Laude from the Stern School of Business at New York University with a B.S. in Finance and Economics.
