Biography

Keith formed Kinsale Capital Partners to pursue buyout and leveraged recap transactions at the lower end of the middle market while continuing to manage ABN AMRO's private equity portfolio. Prior to forming Kinsale, Keith served as President of ABN AMRO Capital (USA). Mr. Walz joined ABN AMRO Capital (USA) at inception in 1996 and as a Senior Partner participated in the sourcing, evaluating, and managing of over 35 investments, representing $200 million of capital invested. Mr. Walz has broad experience in a variety of areas including Enterprise Software and Network Infrastructure investments. He has served on the Boards of Directors of over a dozen companies and also has held operating roles with ABN AMRO portfolio companies, including serving as Chairman and CEO of Worldweb.net. Mr. Walz was also the President of Sand Hill IT Security Acquisition Corporation, a targeted acquisition company which completed the acquisition of St. Bernard software in 2006. Prior to joining ABN AMRO Capital, Mr. Walz served in ABN AMRO's Investment Banking division where he was responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and systems. Earlier he was a finance associate with Tyson Foods, Inc., where he focused on enhancing enterprise business processes and systems through the use of client/server computing technologies. Mr. Walz is a director of Yellowbrix, and has served on a number of private and public company boards. He received an M.B.A. from DePaul University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Arkansas.
