Biography

Mr. Garvan Corkery served as Solicitor; Partner at Ronan Daly Jermyn. Currently he also serves as Barrister at The Bar of Ireland. He began his career as a solicitor, practicing first at McCann FitzGerald, primarily in the area of aircraft finance, and then at Ronan Daly Jermyn, where he was a partner and head of the firm's Commercial Department as well as a member of its management committee. He was called to the Bar in 2011. Garvan has advised family businesses, owner-managers, state-owned enterprises, global companies, investment funds as well as government departments and agencies on a wide range of deals and projects. Working closely with clients over the course of his career, Garvan has developed an understanding of commercial life and relationships, as well as of the legal, tax and financing structures frequently encountered. He recognises the value of mediation as a way of resolving disputes that can better meet the parties' interests, cost effectively. He was accredited as a mediator in 2009 by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution.
