Biography

Mr. Stephen Sloan serves as Managing Director, Portfolio Advisors at FS Investments. Mr. Stephen Sloan serves as Managing Director, Member of the Management Committee & Global Head of Secondaries at Portfolio Advisors. Prior to joining Portfolio Advisors, he was the Global Head of Greenhill's Capital Advisory Group and a member of Greenhill's Management Committee, overseeing strategic direction, client relationships across the Asia Pacific region, deal execution, and management of the group's business operations. He has advised on more than $40 billion of secondary transactions across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States over the past 18 years. Prior to Greenhill, he co-founded Cogent Partners in 2002, where he served as the Managing Partner until the firm's sale to Greenhill in 2015. Before founding Cogent Partners, he worked at Goldman Sachs in their New York office in the structured products and international finance groups. He holds a B.S. degree from Brigham Young University, an M.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
