Biography

Ms. Rachel Hart serves as Commercial Director at Nexus Day Hospitals. After starting her career with Ernst & Young in the UK and Australia, Rachel has worked in the healthcare sector for the past twelve years. Prior to joining Nexus, Rachel spent the last five years at Vision Eye Institute (ASX:VEI). At VEI Rachel focused on the development of profit-sharing arrangements with surgeons where Rachel earned a strong track record of building healthy commercial arrangements with specialist doctors. Rachel was also responsible for procurement initiatives and a number of other key projects. Rachel also has experience with acquisition and integration of healthcare businesses and was responsible for project-managing multiple acquisitions for LifeHealthcare (ASX:LHC), as well as business restructuring and integration responsibilities as LHC's Group Commercial Manager. She then helped establish National Hearing Care (NHC) in New Zealand, the first overseas expansion of the NHC group. Previously, Rachel also worked as Group Financial Controller at MIA Group through its merger with I-MED Radiology (part of DCA Group). Rachel is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
