Biography

Mr. Travis Cross served as Partner at Mjolnir Ventures. He is the CEO of OfficeTone, one of the first cloud-based VoIP providers offering call center solutions, and is the Chief Technology Officer of Silent Circle, a Swiss company creating innovative privacy solutions for the enterprise. TC is a managing partner of a US regional internet service provider and has led teams delivering products in many new markets. Bringing together a background in engineering and sales, TC has worked with well-known Fortune 500 companies, designing and delivering solutions to meet their needs. He has assembled and led teams that have solved recognized hard problems in cryptography and deployed world-wide carrier-class networks. Working in collaboration with Phil Zimmermann, the creator of PGP, an Alan Johnston, author of the SIP standard, TC has authored and contributed to standards drafts for improving the security of widely-deployed technologies. TC is a recognized speaker and expert on leadership, software engineering, startups, privacy, cryptography, secure communications, and scalable VoIP networks. He has been a notable contributor to FreeSWITCH, a softswitch that powers many carrier networks.
