Biography

Dr. Gregory Waller serves as Managing Partner at Cornerstone Valuation. His area of expertise is corporate finance where he teaches courses and conducts research in a variety of fields including advanced valuation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate risk management, and investment policy. Dr. Waller serves as Managing Director at Transact Capital Partners. He also has considerable industry experience, especially with small and family-owned businesses. In addition to his work with Cornerstone, Mr. Waller is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Before embarking on his academic career, he was an entrepreneur, owning and managing companies that specialized in real estate development, contracting and construction, and industrial sales. He has also served as an outside consultant to numerous firms in the areas of corporate finance and strategy. Mr. Waller earned his BA and MBA from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in finance, with minors in economics and strategic management, from Purdue University.
