Biography

Mr. Marcelo Martins was a Co-Founder and served as Managing Partner at VERTICapital. One of the Founding Partners of BR Investimentos (currently known as Bozano Investimentos), an independent asset management firm with strong reputation in Private Equity, where since July 2008 through April 2014 Mr. Martins, was Head of the M&A Practice, for both Private Equity and Corporate Advisory divisions. During such period, Mr. Martins also served as Board Member for Enesa Participações, Affero Participações). Before BRI, Mr. Martins worked at Gávea Investimentos from 2003 through 2008, where his last position was Senior Illiquid Strategies (Private Equity) Analyst, but also worked on the fixed income trading desk, Compliance and Wealth Management. Mr. Martins holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering from PUC-Rio (Brazil) in association with Technische Universität München (Germany) and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute.
