Biography
Ms. Joan Heidorn is a Co-Founder & serves as Managing Director at Spur Capital Partners. Before the formation of Spur, Ms. Heidorn served as COO and Principal of another venture capital fund-of-funds manager, where she was a member of the Investment Committee and other key decision-making bodies in addition to recruiting the team and developing internal systems. Prior to her involvement in the fund-of-funds industry beginning in 1994, she served as Group Controller for a manufacturing subsidiary of a multi-national company and worked for a group of venture capital-backed medical devices companies. After growing up in New England, she completed undergraduate and graduate studies in accounting and taxation, receiving an M.A. from Florida Atlantic University.
