Biography

Mr. Toshitada Nagumo serves as Partner & Chief Executive Officer, Pegasus Japan at Pegasus Tech Ventures. Mr. Nagumo served as External Board Member at Monstarlab. He is responsible for fundraising, corporate partnership, and startup investment in Japan and across Asia. He founded and managed his own consulting firm and has more than 10 years of experience in growth strategy consulting, new business development support, fundraising, M&A, and IR consulting. He specializes in diverse industries, such as Telecommunication, Media, IT, Renewable Energy, FinTech, and High-tech. He served a large number of clients not only in Japan, but also across the US, EU and Asia ranging from startups to large global corporation. Prior to founding his own consulting firm, He was a Senior Strategic Consultant at Nomura Research Institute, one of the largest consulting and system integration firms in Japan. He provided strategic consulting, such as business development, global business expansion, Japan market entry, technology evaluation and more to large Japanese corporations as well as global large corporations in the US, EU and Asia. He also promoted the new IT paradigm, "Ubiquitous Networks", "M2M", which can be described as prior version of IoT, at the time. He has greatly contributed to the IT evolution resulting in business/market through various publishing and lecturing activities. While being with NRI, he worked at a US subsidiary, Nomura Research Institute America in New York, for several years. A large number of his engagement includes US entry/business expansion strategy to large Japanese corporations and vice versa. He holds a Bachelor's and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Tokyo.
