Biography

Mr. Brian Hermelin is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at RockBridge Growth Equity. He also served as Managing Partner at Detroit Venture Partners. He also served as a Partner at CourtsideVC. He is also a principal of Rock Gaming, a casino gaming company with operations in Ohio, Michigan, and Maryland. He sits on the board of directors of several Rockbridge portfolio companies including Northcentral University, Protect America, Connect America, Purchasing Power, One-on-One Marketing, Triad Retail Media, Rapid Advance, and Gas Station TV. In addition, he was a board member of Veritas, a leader in electronic ticketing for sports teams and entertainment venues, and of publicly traded Sun Communities, the nation's premier provider of manufactured home communities and RV resorts. For 15 years, he served as Chairman and CEO of Active Aero Group a leading air charter broker and logistics provider that also operates USA Jet Airlines, a privately held charter service provider for freight and passenger air transport. Some of his previous board positions also included ePrize, a leading interactive promotions company, and Telemus Wealth Management. He is involved with many non-profit organizations including Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation, where he is a trustee; Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit and Cranbrook Schools, where he is a member of their boards of governors; American ORT and State of Israel Bonds, where he is a board member; and, Congregation Shaarey Zedek, where he is Past President. He earned his BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has served as a Board member at Sportsrocket.
