Biography

Mr. Carlo Von Schroeter is a Co-Founder & serves as Managing Partner at WestView Capital Partners. He also served as a Board Member at Nwestco. He has a successful track record of investing in middle-market companies across a diverse range of industries since 1990. Before co-founding WestView Capital, he was a General Partner of Weston Presidio, a private equity firm that managed five funds totaling over $3.3 billion in capital. He joined Weston Presidio in 1992 as the second professional in its Boston office, before which he was a Vice President at Security Pacific Capital and a District Engineer at Shell Canada. Since entering the private equity business over 25 years ago, he has been actively involved in management buyouts, recapitalizations, leveraged consolidations and growth financings across a variety of sectors. In addition to his investments at Westview, he has served as a director of numerous companies including American Asphalt & Grading, Star International Holdings, Geosystems/Mapquest (NASDAQ: MQST), Delstar Technologies, Achievement Technologies, Lion Brewery (NASDAQ: MALT) and Medscape (NASDAQ: MSCP). He was also involved with Casella Waste Systems (NASDAQ: CWST), Tekni-Plex, Business Depot (Staples Canada) and Coffee Connection. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from Queen's University (Ontario, Canada) and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He graduated as a member of the New England Chapter of YPO and is a past Director of the New England Venture Capital Association (NEVCA). Schroeter also served as General Partner at Weston Presidio. He is also a Board Member of Bell and Howell. He served as Board Member at English Color and Supply.
