Biography

Mr. Carl Nelson serves as Executive Partner at HCI Equity Partners. He brings over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. He works closely with HCI portfolio companies, Curtis Metal, TSM and Tribar. Mr. Nelson was previously a Managing Director at HCI Equity Partners, focusing on the diligence, acquisition and management of our portfolio companies and transitioned to Executive Partner in 2024. Prior to joining HCI, Mr. Nelson worked at Hidden Creek Industries. During his time there, Mr. Nelson worked closely with its portfolio companies including Automotive Industries, Tower Automotive and Commercial Vehicle Group. Mr. Nelson assisted in completing over 50 acquisitions and in securing debt financing totaling more than $2 billion. He was also integrally involved in taking four companies public during his tenure there. Prior to joining Hidden Creek Industries, Mr. Nelson spent ten years in the Accounting and Advisory Group of Arthur Andersen & Co.
