Biography

Mr. John Connaughton serves as Co-Managing Partner at Bain Capital. He serves as Board Member & Member of the Leadership Development and Compensation Committee at IQVIA. He served as Board Member at IQVIA. He also serves as Chairman of the Board at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company. He served as Board Member at iHeartMedia. He joined Bain Capital in 1989. He has been a Managing Director since 1997. Prior to joining Bain Capital, he was a consultant at Bain & Company where he consulted in the medical, consumer products, and business service industries. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. He received a BS from the University of Virginia. He is a Co-Managing Partner and the Global Head of Private Equity at Bain Capital, which he joined in 1989. Prior to Bain Capital, he was a consultant at Bain & Company, Inc., where he worked in the healthcare, consumer products and business services industries. He was formerly on the board of directors at iHeartMedia, Inc. as well as several other publicly traded companies. He also currently serves as a member of the boards of directors of the Boston Celtics and University of Virginia Investment Management Company. He is a member of the boards of trustees for Brigham and Women's Hospital, The Berklee College of Music, University of Virginia McIntire Foundation, The Roxbury Latin School and GreenLight Fund. He also serves as a member of the dean's advisory board of Harvard Business School.
