Biography
Dr. Peter Hammermann served as Partner at Equistone Partners Europe. He joined Barclays Private Equity (BPE) in 1998 to launch and head the private equity operations in the German speaking countries. Shortly thereafter Peter took on responsibility as a Co-Head for BPE's European business. Since the spin out from the Barclays Group in 2011 and up until early 2017 Peter was the Country Head for the DACH region, chairman of the administrative board of Equistone Partners Schweiz AG and chairman of the supervisory board at Equistone Partners Europe. Prior to joining Equistone Partners Europe Peter was a founding partner of a German private equity fund in Berlin. From 1991 through 1995 Peter was a member of several management boards in a midsized German Bank and was a corporate finance and investment banker at BHF-Bank from 1986 to 1991. Peter started his career at Robert Bosch GmbH where he gained substantial industry experience. Peter holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D) in economics from the University of Hamburg.
