Biography

Mr. John Wehrle served as Senior Managing Director at Mountain Capital Management. He also served as Board Member at Talon Resources. He also serves as Board Member at Bedrock Energy Partners. Mr. Wehrle has 21 years of experience in the oil and gas industry working as a senior executive. Mr. Wehrle was formerly the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Finance at Chaparral Energy and was responsible for strategic alternatives and corporate restructuring. Mr. Wehrle's prior experience includes private equity-backed companies Vantage Energy and Bill Barrett Corporation, where he played critical roles including the build-out and optimization of asset portfolios, management and leadership of people, strategic landscape assessment and execution of key transactions. In addition, Mr. Wehrle also worked with Apollo Management's Private Equity Natural Resources group evaluating oil and gas investment opportunities. Prior to working with Apollo, Mr. Wehrle was Co-Head of US Investment Banking at Scotiabank in Houston. Previous investment banking experience includes Goldman Sachs and RBC Capital Markets. Mr. Wehrle received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba.
