Biography

Dr. Samuel Warfield served as Managing Director, Head of U.S. Investments at Arroyo Energy Investment Partners. He serves as Managing Director & Head of Infrastructure at Pennybacker Capital. He is a Vice President at Arroyo. Mr. Warfield is responsible for the origination, evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of asset acquisitions and divestitures in North America. Prior to joining the Arroyo team, Mr. Warfield was a senior corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, where his practice focused on M&A transactions in the power and infrastructure sector. Mr. Warfield regularly represented private equity firms as well as public companies in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and investments. Mr. Warfield was recognized in 2015 as a "Rising Star" in M&A in the New York metro area by Super Lawyers magazine. Mr. Warfield also clerked at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in the Department of Investment Management in Washington D.C. Mr. Warfield received his Bachelor of Science in Finance magna cum laude from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Mr. Warfield is also a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame.
