Biography

Mr. Thomas Faught served as Senior Advisor at The Chertoff Group. Mr. Faught's background in global management, operations and strategic planning - combined with the discipline he gained from his earlier service as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer, provided him a well-balanced management background that he applied throughout his career to both the public and government sectors. Most recently, Mr. Faught served as Senior Advisor to the Commanding Officer of the U.S. Joint Forces Command at the Department of Defense, where he helped develop strategic plans, provided management guidance and helped strengthen Command relationships. Prior to this, he served as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy in the Pentagon where he led the oversight and control of research and development, engineering, systems development and the acquisition of advanced weapons for the Navy and Marine Corps. Prior to his leadership at Dravo, Mr. Faught was a foreman and superintendent with the Ford Motor Company; a partner of Booz Allen & Hamilton, a global management consulting firm; the corporate development officer at Gould, an electronics component manufacturer; and Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the F. & M. Schaefer Company, owner of Schaefer Beer, Arnold Bread and related food supply organizations.
