Biography

Mr. Gary Little is a Co-Founder and General Partner at Canvas Ventures. He also serves as Partner, Information Technology at Morgenthaler Ventures. He served as a Board Member at Adara, Kinetica, Fossa, Folloze, Sema4.ai, Shoreline.io, Skyflow, Vendia, Functionize, Platform9, and Evernote. He served as a Board Member at Totango. He is investing from Canvas's third fund and focused on cloud infrastructure, SaaS, and vertical solutions using AI/ML. Before forming Canvas, he invested as a Partner at Morgenthaler Ventures. He has twice been named to the Forbes Midas List for investments including Mule Soft (MULE), NexTag (Providence Equity), Jaspersoft (TIBCO), and Netli (Akamai). Before his 20+ year career in venture capital, he held several roles at Apple Computer, including SVP of Apple's Power Macintosh Division, VP of Sales Americas, and Sr. Dir. of Marketing for Apple's Pacific division (China, Japan, Asia, Latin America, Canada). He spent seven years at Sun Microsystems as Director of Product Marketing, Director of Asia Pacific Marketing (including a posting in Hong Kong), and as Group Manager of Industry Marketing (financial services, telecom, etc). Before Sun, he held sales and marketing positions at IBM. He began his career as an IC design engineer for TRW's microelectronics research labs. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSEE from UCLA.
