Biography

Ms. Catherine Dooling served as Investment Officer at Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Catherine supports SVCF staff, donors and nonprofit partners, communicating the foundation's investments and tailoring allocations in support of charitable goals. She also works closely with the foundation's finance staff and service providers to invest and protect the foundation's capital and ensure efficient operations and reporting. Before joining SVCF, Catherine earned an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Prior to pursuing an MBA, she worked at the Downtown Women's Center - a homeless shelter in Los Angeles named California Nonprofit of the Year in 2013. At the DWC, Catherine focused largely on donation management, vocational education, and social enterprise program development. Catherine also completed two internships during her MBA program, one at Gobi Capital, a San Francisco based hedge fund, and the other at Beneficial State Bank and Foundation, a CDFI and B Corp, where she served as social and environmental impact analysis intern.
