Biography

Mr. Andrew Cantwell is the Co-Founder & serves as Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer at Carlson Private Capital Partners. He also served as a Partner at Norwest Equity Partners. He also serves as a Board Member at Stanton Carpet. He joined the NEP team in 2006 and was promoted to Principal in 2008 just two years after joining the firm. Prior to joining NEP, he worked at Northwestern Mutual Capital in the firm's Private Equity and Mezzanine Group. His career experience also includes working as a Vice President at ABN AMRO where he led and closed multiple leveraged and project finance transactions, totaling over $7 billion, across North America, Latin America, and Asia. In his role at NEP, he is involved with all aspects of the investment process including sourcing and leading investment opportunities, performing due diligence, structuring transactions, and arranging debt financing. He is also involved at the board level with several of NEP's current portfolio companies, working with management teams on strategic planning and execution and other operational initiatives. He is a representative on the board of Longwood Industries. He served as a Board Member at Edge Fitness, Marco, Minnesota Rubber & Plastics, Movati Athletic, and Stanton Carpet Corp. He holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
