Jason Ki Ph.D General Information
Biography
Dr. Jason Ki is a Co-Founder and serves as Machine Learning Engineer & Chief Technical Officer at Veripad. Jason is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the City College of New York. His PhD work focuses on understanding how the brain processes its surrounding in "naturalistic" settings such as during movie viewing or video gameplay. His research couples deep learning and various statistical models to encode and decode neural activity to its surrounding. Jason's involvement with VERIPAD began prior to its inception as he advised then-undergraduate seniors, Da Wi Shin and Bishoy Ghobryal in building the Paper Analytical Device (PAD) recognition prototype for their Senior Design Project. Jason has since joined the company full-time as lead technical staff. He and the product team is working ecstatically towards developing innovative engineering solutions and customer products to prevent the spread of the global crisis of counterfeit medications.
