Biography

Dr. Sophia Kogan is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Medical Advisor at Nutrafol. Dr. Kogan earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical school in Brooklyn, NY, where she studied Dermatology and completed a Pediatric Dermatology fellowship. Her interests in holistic and integrative medicine led her to study the effects of herbs, nutrition, and stress management on overall wellness, and particularly how they manifest in the health of hair and skin. This holistic approach to patient care directed her attention toward research in the underlying causes of hair thinning and loss, of which most key factors, she discovered, are not yet acknowledged nor addressed by Western medical practitioners today. She has now become an expert consultant in this field, and is an invaluable member of the Nutrafol team.
