Biography

Mr. Edward Palmer serves as Partner, Joint-Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Sustainability, Chairman of the Investment Committee at Alpha Real Capital. Mr. Palmer served as Managing Director and Regional Credit Head, CEEMEA at MetLife Investment Management. He has 20 years of experience in investment banking, credit ratings and insurance asset management. In his role, he is responsible for a team of 15 managing $30bn equivalent of assets across high-grade and high-yield corporate bonds, leveraged loans, and emerging markets. He joined MetLife in 2006 as a Senior Credit Analyst/Trader responsible for $3 billion of assets, and over the past 10 years overseeing the growth in the London portfolio to its current level. He transitioned to a Head of Trading/Credit Project Management role in 2010 and to Head of Credit in 2014. Prior to joining MetLife, he was a VP-Senior Analyst at Moody's, where he covered Infrastructure, Utilities, High high-yield energy and Emerging Markets. Prior to Moody's, He spent 8 years at Barclays where he worked in infrastructure project finance, investment banking, and debt capital markets. He holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Manchester.
