Biography

Mr. Michael Roch serves as Senior Portfolio Manager - Real Estate Debt Strategies at MetLife Investment Management. Mr. Roch is currently responsible for managing the investment management debt platform. Prior to this, he was head of the Capital Markets Group where he oversaw a $4 billion portfolio, and invested in subordinated debt, structured leverage debt positions, subscription lines, secured real estate credit facilities, and warehouse lines. He also managed MetLife's $650 million real estate private equity fund portfolio. Mr. Roch joined MetLife in 1985 and has served in various investment capacities, including real estate asset management, mortgage loan production, and portfolio management. In 2001, Mr. Roch was promoted to head of the CMBS unit and managed a $12 billion diversified bond portfolio. In 2004, he became a voting member of the Real Estate Investment Committee. Mr. Roch holds a BA in mathematics from Drew University and a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
