Biography

Mr. Daniel Hu served as a Principal and Managing Director at TPG Capital Aisa based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining TPG, he served as Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of the Private Equity Department of China Life Investment Holding Company Limited, the alternative investment arm and subsidiary company of China Life Group, where he was responsible for China Life investments into Ant Financial, JD.com, and Uber. Previously, Daniel was an Investment Director at China Investment Corporation (CIC), and prior to that, a Vice President at D.B. Zwirn in New York. He received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a bachelor of science and master of engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
