Biography

Mr. Ron Tonge served as Partner and Chief Executive Officer at Acta Wireless. Ron has a wide range of expertise, including broad general management responsibilities, in the wireless, cable, and wireline areas of telecom. He has specific expertise in outsourcing, product management, large enterprise applications, consultative selling, business development, network capacity management, vertical industry marketing, and B2B marketing. Along with an extensive background as an operating manager and executive with large firms, such as AT&T and Comcast, Ron also has the unique experiences and insights that come from being a part of a small early stage start-up. Ron's responsibilities have included managing a $700 million product and running a $50M/year client relationship. He also served as the senior vice president of business services at Comcast, led a carrier wholesale unit at AT&T, and ran the solution center for AT&T's billion dollar outsourcing business. At a wireless start-up, he provided the initiative and leadership to develop an indirect sales channel for these smaller markets that would eventually provide over 70% of sales. Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, and attended the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School's Advanced Management Program for executive education.
