Biography

Mr. John Bennetts serves as Partner at M-Group. He serves as Director and Board Member at Glutagen. He was also a Principal at Asia Pac Consulting Pty Ltd. He has had a unique experience and commercial success as an investor in Australia's technology companies. Through his corporate advisory business, Asia Pac Consulting, he has provided advisory services in relation to an extensive range of start-ups, mergers, acquisitions and fund-raising transactions carried out by technology companies in the Asia Pacific region. In recent years he and his team have been advisors for more than thirty major fundraising and merger/acquisitions transactions for technology companies in more than ten countries. He is also a Director of a number of public and private companies including McMillan Shakespeare Ltd and Cellestis Limited. Previously he worked as a solicitor in both private and corporate practice. Having begun his career as a practicing solicitor, he has gone on to become an experienced investor and has been the founder and director of several successful Australian companies. With businesses spanning across the technology, finance and manufacturing industries, he is a substantial shareholder and director of ASX-listed McMillan Shakespeare and founder of medical diagnostic company Cellestis Limited and private equity investment firm, Mooroolbark Investments Pty Ltd (M-Group). Prior to the establishment of the M-Group, he was a senior executive of the pioneering Australian multinational IT company, Datacraft Limited. He is also a director of several charitable organizations.
