Biography

Dr. Noel Fernandes served as Venture Partner - Expara Asia Ventures at Expara. He has over 5 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the logistics and in the education space and has been active as an angel investor. Prior to joining Expara, Noel spent more than 15 years in sales & marketing, product management and supply chain management across diverse industries like shipping, logistics and petrochemicals and across diverse cultures in United States, Middle East and Asia working for multinationals like including Glaxo, Emerck and AP Moller. At his previous job in Vinmar, a multibillion dollar petrochemicals trading company based in Houston, he held a dual position of supply chain head and global product manager. His expertise lies in setting up and leveraging global supply chains to drive product profitability. He earned his B.S in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, a post graduate diploma in supply chain from Aston University, UK, an executive MBA from Sasin school of business, Chulalongkorn University and Northwestern Kellogg School of business, Illinois and a PhD in business administration from the Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok.
