Biography

Mr. John Rees Co-Founded Doubleknot, where he served as President. Along with Joe Garappolo, John developed the vision for Doubleknot and oversaw product development. Prior to Doubleknot, John was responsible for sales and service delivery as a Vice President of Professional Services for the US practice of Burntsand, a publicly traded international IT consultancy. His experience traversed many industries and sectors, including non-profit organizations, government-regulated enterprises and processes, such as ethical drug development, medical device manufacturing, financial services and commercial aircraft operations and maintenance. John's technical expertise covers the full spectrum of information technology: web, mobile computing, content management, relational databases, and enterprise application Integration, including back-end integration and the web-enablement of legacy systems. John was a cofounder and Chief Operating Officer of Altro Solutions, an international provider of business strategy consulting, software development, and systems integration specializing in content-enhanced e-solutions. John oversaw all sales and services operations for Altro when annualized revenues were $28 million. Burntsand acquired Altro Solutions. Prior to founding Altro, John was a Senior Manager for KPMG, where he led large consulting teams engaged in business process design and development of complex mission-critical solutions for Global 2000 clients. An accomplished speaker, John is a sought-after presenter at educational e-business seminars. John holds a degree in Economics from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA.
