Biography

Mr. Robert Shepler serves as the Board Member at Akoya Biosciences. He co-founded and served as Partner Emeritus at Telegraph Hill Partners. He and Matt Mackowski partnered together in 1991 to form THP's predecessor focused on investing in private healthcare companies. He served as Board Member at RareCyte. During his career, he has served on numerous company boards and completed over 200 M&A and financing transactions. He has represented THP on the boards of AcroMetrix (acquired by Life Technologies), Agena Bioscience (acquired by Mesa Laboratories), Akoya Biosciences (NASDAQ:AKYA), Applied Precision (acquired by GE), Aurora Discovery (acquired by NEXUS Biosystems), Dynex, Estech (acquired by AtriCure), Kinetikos Medical (acquired by Integra), LDR Spine (IPO: LDRH; acquired by Zimmer Biomet), Sage Labs (acquired by Horizon Discovery) and Vidacare (acquired by Teleflex). He was also an observer on the board of Precision NanoSystems (acquired by Danaher). Prior to joining with Mr. Mackowski, he worked with Merrill Lynch & Co. as an officer in their San Francisco corporate finance office, where he managed financings and acquisitions for Fortune 500 and selected high growth companies. He received a BA from Duke University and an MBA from New York University.
