Biography

Dr. Salome Svanadze serves as Vice President at Small Enterprise Assistance Funds. She has served as a senior associate for portfolio impact and development monitoring at SEAF since June 2015. Her responsibilities include global portfolio management as well as monitoring and reporting on development impact metrics and impact-related investment products. Salome joined SEAF's Georgia and Caucasus Funds in 2009 with a focus on portfolio monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to investors as well as other stakeholders. While at SEAF, Salome spent several months in 2017 seconded to FMO (the Netherlands Development Finance Company) as an Investment Officer for Private Equity Funds and Corporates (Asia/ECA). Prior to joining SEAF, she worked for Project advantage, a program financed by USAID and implemented by ACDI/VOCA with the aim of strengthening Georgia's agricultural sector and enabling producers to compete successfully in international markets. Salome holds an M.Sc. degree (Hons) in the field of Management and Economics from a Georgian State University. She pursued a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration at Ilia State University after conducting two years of research funded by the European Commission research exchange at Warsaw University. Salome's experience in investment management in emerging markets has led her to conduct research on intellectual capital, with a focus on finding and creating economic opportunities, as well as the phenomena of knowledge and trust management of leadership in enterprises. Parts of her scientific manuscripts are published by the International Institute of Applied Knowledge Management, and the International Association for Computer Information Systems.
