Biography

Mr. Jean Luc Gibier served as Partner at Bastille Capital. He has over 25 years' experience in operational management, especially for companies facing difficulties. He spent most of his professional career in the group Sommer-Allibert, where he held different positions, including CFO and COO. Actively participating in the group's repositioning, for example, he led the redeployment of a heavy loss-making subsidiary, by reducing variable costs by over 25%, also managing to reduce overheads by 40%, before redeploying its business on a clearer strategic basis. The analysis of value and management through continual improvements has therefore enabled the company to adapt to competitive markets, in which it has rapidly reached a leading position. Subsequently, he has successfully met many similar challenges in the group, before co-founding the investment fund GMSI, with Philippe de Saint Rapt in 2005. Specialised in turning round underperforming companies, he has been active both in operational management and equity operations in stakes in GMSI's portfolio.
