Biography

Dr. Gonzalo Maturana serves as Term Associate Professor of Finance at Goizueta Business School. He served as Director of Investments and Board Member at Altafid. In this capacity, he contributes to portfolio-design research and the enhancement of the quantitative investment framework, which underpins all of Innealta's investment strategies. He also participates in the monitoring of the firm's various investment strategies, directly collaborating with the portfolio-management team to ensure the underlying risk metrics are in accordance with each strategy's mandate. He also serves as Co-Founder, Director of Investments & Board Member. He has worked in the industry as a portfolio manager, strategy analyst, and investment consultant. He has focused on global equity portfolios, developing several strategic beta strategies. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds an M.A. in Applied Economics and a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Chile, where he graduated with the highest honors.
