Biography

Mr. Graham Ridler serves as Partner at Athena Law. He is a commercial litigator and insolvency specialist. Having spent eight years working in Hong Kong, he has considerable experience in cross border actions and enforcement globally. He acts for insolvency practitioners and directors in distressed situations, on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He also acts on general commercial litigation, such as breach of warranty claims, professional negligence actions, as well as cases against banks and financial institutions for the mis selling of products such as SWAPS and interest rate hedging products. He provides practical, pragmatic and commercial solutions to contentious issues. He has been recognized as a leading individual in his field in Chambers Asia, International Finance Law Review 1000 and Legal 500, in which he was described as "a highly regarded insolvency expert, praised as technically strong with good commercial sense". He was also Co-author of The Definitive Guide Distressed Debt and Turnaround Investing published by PEI (the section on PRC law).
