Biography

Ms. Giselia Giam serves as Senior Vice President, Administration & Chief Financial Officer at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. In this role, she oversees the University's financial and general administrative functions. Her responsibilities encompass finance, procurement, campus infrastructure and facilities, information technology, enterprise risk management, investment, legal affairs as well as business excellence. She has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and general management in both private and public sectors. She started her professional career at Ernst & Young. Early in her career, she was the Country General Manager of a single source office solution startup and the Chief Operating Officer of a Singapore Exchange-listed private education provider before joining the education sector. She is an experienced university administrator who was instrumental in setting up the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School as Vice Dean, Corporate Services prior to joining SUTD. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from NUS and Master in Business Administration from the Eastern Michigan University, USA. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a certified Enterprise Risk Manager. She has obtained a Professional Certification in Sustainability from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
