Biography

Mr. Sean Alford is a Co-Founder and serves as a Partner & Investment Committee Member at Shoal Harbor Capital. He serves as Senior Advisor at Ziff Davis. He served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy at Ziff Davis. He has devoted his career to navigating digital transformation across the technology, media, and communications sectors. As Managing Partner of Shoal Harbor Capital, he is responsible for investment strategy, sourcing, transaction execution, and portfolio management. He also serves as a member of the firm's investment committee. Prior to Shoal Harbor Capital, he was Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy at Ziff Davis (Nasdaq: ZD). In this role, he was responsible for building and leading strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and stakeholder engagement for Ziff Davis and its portfolio of businesses. Under his leadership, the Ziff Davis M&A program completed over 55 transactions, representing over $4.0 billion of investment value. Previously, he co-founded an investment fund, Beachfront Wireless, focused on wireless spectrum. He started his career as an attorney at Proskauer Rose in New York City, where he was a member of the firm's Sports Group and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice. He has also worked at Comcast in the NBC Sports Group. His educational background includes a BA/BS (Bachelor of Arts and Sciences) in Law and Business, an MBA (Master of Business Administration), and a JD (Doctor of Law) in Law from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
