Biography

Mr. Hamed Masri serves as a Partner at Silicon Badia. He co-founded and served as Growth Director at Robu. He has more than 13 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, and SME advisory. He is also a Co-Founder of Sequence Advisory. He served at UBS (US/UK) and Dubai World. He earned his BSc in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined Silicon Badia as a Partner, following a career as a repeat co-founder, venture builder, operator, and growth-capital specialist. As a co-founder of Sequence Labs, he worked with dozens of growth-stage founders across the MENA region, leading strategy, financial structuring, and growth capital planning. He is particularly proud of his work as a co-founder of robu.io, an Enterprise SaaS venture that aimed at disrupting the fractional-CFO space. After several pivots, he co-founded Factura, a B2B Fintech startup providing SMEs with access to finance. His sectoral expertise extends to growth stage (Series A/B) ventures in the Edtech space. Having served as CFO to both Luminus Education (Jordan) and iTutor (US), he gained global exposure that set the stage for his involvement with BLDR Ventures. At BLDR, he focused on building MENA's next wave of startups shaping the region's Future of Work and Future of Learning. He is also a partner at ifada.io - a fellowship promoting fintech co-founders and first-time fund managers. He started his career with UBS' Leveraged Finance team and received his BSc from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
