Biography

Mr. Douglas Barker serves as Senior Managing Director, Sale-Leaseback Capital - Bridge Equity at Mesirow Financial. Mr. is responsible for national business development and acquisitions, sourcing in excess of $3 billion of net-leased assets. Doug contributes to the collective strategy of Mesirow Realty Bridge Equity, utilizing his experience in real estate lending, and is a member of its Investment Committee. Doug has more than 35 years of corporate finance experience. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2004, he was a vice president at GE Capital, where he was responsible for all lending and sale-leaseback activity in the Midwest. Doug is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well as the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado.
