Biography

Mr. Andrei Balta serves as Senior Director, Portfolio Support Group at Advent International. Mr. Balta joined Advent in 2019 as part of the Portfolio Support Group to help improve portfolio company performance. Prior to Advent, he was the CEO of Pets at Home Vet Group, the leading UK veterinary services provider. In his eight years career at Pets at Home, he fulfilled a number of other duties including Vet Group COO, interim CFO, Commercial Director and Group Strategy Director. He started his career as a management consultant at Bain & Co, where he spent eight years advising corporate clients across a wide range of sectors in Europe, North America and South Africa. He holds a BSc degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from University of Warwick and an MBA from Insead.
