Biography

Mr. Daniel Blandon is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at SIMMA Capital. He is a Co-founder and serves as a Managing Partner at INVX. In his professional life, he worked at Amber Capital (International Hedge Fund with more than $ 1.8B in assets under his administration). During this time he led the financial analysis in public and private companies that resulted in 7 investments for more than $80M dollars. Managed the operations of the local office as a legal representative. In 2018, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (Global Consulting Firm), where he supported the digital transformation plan for a major Latin American Oil and Gas company. Since 2019 he co-founded and is the managing partner of Simma Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Colombia. He is an Economist and Electrical Engineer from the Universidad de los Andes and has a master's degree in economics from the same university. With both undergraduate and master's degrees, he graduated with the merit of Valedictorian as first place in both classes. He has the CFA certification (professional certificate offered by the CFA Institute to certify portfolio management skills and advanced financial analysis) and Yale University MBA in the United States.
