David Foley General Information

Biography

Mr. David Foley serves as Managing Partner at Equity Management Associates. He joined EMA as a Managing Partner in January 2021. Previously, he was a Principal at Covalent Partners, a value-oriented, event-driven investment firm, which he joined in 2007. At Covalent, he sourced, analyzed, and executed investments in the equity, debt, and distressed securities of various companies. He served on a creditors' committee in the Chapter 11 restructuring of Energy XXI. From 2004 to 2007, he was a senior analyst at Constitution Research & Management where he was responsible for making growth equity investments across a wide range of industries. From 2001 to 2004, he was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. At Goldman, he participated in several deal teams that structured bridge loans and underwrote high yield debt in addition to providing strategic advice to clients. From 1997 to 1999, he worked in the leveraged finance area at Schroder & Co. Inc. and prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, he worked at Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. in investment banking. He did his MBA at Harvard Business School and BA, magna cum laude, in Economics at Providence College.
