Biography

Dr. Adaeze Enekwechi serves as Chief Executive Officer at Cayaba Care. Dr. Enekwechi serves as Operating Partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. She serves as Board Member at Tia (Clinics/Outpatient Services). She serves as Board Member at MedStar Health. She serves as Board Member at ALLIANCE FOR HEALTH POLICY. Previously, she served as President at IMPAQ International. She holds BA and PhD. in Health Services and Policy from the University of Iowa. Dr. Enekwechi focuses on healthcare investments, having joined WCAS in 2021. She is also an Executive-in-Residence at The Health Management Academy. She brings 20 years of policy, research, and leadership experience most recently serving as the President of IMPAQ, a healthcare, labor, and analytics consulting firm, which she led through its acquisition in 2020. In addition to her private sector experience, her public sector work includes the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and as the Associate Director for Health Programs at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Obama. There she led policy, management, and regulatory oversight for over $1 trillion in spending across all federal health agencies and programs. Dr. Enekwechi serves on various healthcare boards in advisory and director capacities. She is an Associate Professor at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
