Biography

Mr. Christoph Kauter is a Co-Founder & serves as a Managing Partner at Beyond Capital Partners. He is an Angel Investor. Over the last one-and-a-half decades, he accumulated in-depth knowledge in the fields of Private Equity, M&A, Corporate Finance, and Equity Capital Markets and held Executive Board positions at Private Equity firms from 2008 on. He has ample transaction expertise, know-how in business development, and an extensive network. Before founding Beyond Capital Partners, he was a co-founder and Managing Partner of Trigon Equity Partners, a specialized situations investor focusing on the German Mittelstand. Over three-and-a-half years, he held comprehensive responsibility for the acquisition, financing, and operational management of portfolio companies. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive Officer of the two listed mid-market funds Themis Industries Group and Heliad Equity Partners, focusing on investments in the field of restructuring, buy-outs, and successions as well as managing a well-diversified portfolio. He started his career in Private Equity as Managing Director for Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, and Investor Relations at a leading German Private Equity real estate investor. In addition, he gained seven years of experience in the field of Alternative Investing and Investment Banking, establishing the European power and emission derivative trading at Tradition and Man Financial respectively working at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and London in Equity Capital Markets and M&A. He holds a degree in Banking and finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and is a certified Real Estate M&A Advisor at the European Business School. He is a frequent speaker at leading business schools in Germany, the author of several papers as well as an active member of the BVK, BRSI, and BAND, acting for more than ten years as a Business Angel and founder of businesses. Besides a number of board of director positions at mid-market companies, he also set up a Venture Capital fund at his university to support Startups of young students.
