C. Bradford Jeffries General Information

Biography

Mr. C. Bradford Jeffries was a Co-Founder and served as Partner at Sigma Partners. He is a retired partner of Cooley Godward Kronish. Resident in the San Francisco office, he took early retirement in January 1994 after a 35-year career as a venture capital lawyer. During his legal practice Mr. Jeffries participated in more than 150 venture financings, and in the formation of more than 40 venture capital funds. Mr. Jeffries is a partner of Sigma Management, the general partner of Sigma Partners I, II and III, three venture funds with more than $150 million of committed capital. Mr. Jeffries was a co-founder of Sigma Management I in 1984. Mr. Jeffries is a vice-president of Venture Investment Management Company which he co-founded in 1993. Venture Investment Management Company is the general partner of Venture Investment Associates, a fund with committed capital of $180 million which was formed to acquire the venture investment portfolio of American Express Co. Mr. Jeffries currently serves on the board of directors of Asia Renal Care (where he was their first Chairman). He is also a director of Jafco America, a subsidiary of Japan Associated Finance Company, Japan's largest venture capital group, and Satellite Health Care, a non-profit corporation operating a laboratory, kidney dialysis centers and other health care services. Mr. Jeffries was a co-founder of Satellite Dialysis Centers in 1974. Mr. Jeffries currently divides his time between his board responsibilities and his personal investments. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School where he has served three terms as a member of the Stanford Law School Board of Visitors. He is also a member of the Committee for the Stanford Law School Venture Fund and the Dean's Strategic Council.
