Carl Hedlund General Information

Biography

Mr. Carl Hedlund serves as an Operating Partner at Hudson Ferry Capital. He also serves as a Board Member at VIRA Insight. He serves as a Senior Advisor at Deutsch Capital. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Loewen Windows and ProBuild Holdings. Mr. Hedlund serves as President and CEO at Therma-Tru Doors. Under his leadership, Therma-Tru grew significantly and was sold to Fortune Brands in November 2003. Mr. Hedlund remained as CEO through 2007, successfully positioning the company in new segments and channels such as home centers (becoming Lowes' Vendor of the Year in 2005 and 2006). From 1998 to 2000, he was President of the International Building Materials Division of Owens Corning Fiberglass, based in Brussels, Belgium, a $400 million business unit. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Hedlund was President, of Asia Pacific Owens Corning Fiberglass, based in Hong Kong. From 1990 to 1996, he was President of the Roofing and Asphalt and Retail Distribution Divisions of Owens Corning based in Toledo, Ohio. From 1985 to 1990, he led Owens Corning's Latin America Division from Sao Paulo, Brazil as VP and General Manager. Before 1985, Mr. Hedlund held various sales and marketing management positions with Owens Corning, dating back to 1972. Mr. Hedlund received his BA from Arizona State University and has attended the Stanford University Advanced Management Program. He also serves as a Senior Advisor at Deutsch Capital.
