Biography

Mr. Miguel Barron serves as Managing Partner at First Light Investment Advisors. He is a 30-year veteran of financial markets, having begun his career in 1992 as an investment analyst at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), based in Abu Dhabi. In 1995 he moved to London and later New York, where he would work in institutional equity sales for several prominent investment banks, including Robert Fleming, BT Alex Brown, Collins Stewart, and most recently UBS. Mr. Barron was also an Investment Advisor to Banco Santander's UHNW group based in Miami, managing portfolios for some of Santander's largest clients. Mr. Barron is also a published author and is fluent in six languages. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and holds an M.A. in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He has been a CFA charter holder since 2001.
