Biography

Mr. Ron L. Nickelson CPC/CTS, CERS led the formation of Nickelson & Associates, LLC in 2009. Prior to this, Mr. Ron served as the Global Practice Leader Natural Resources and Energy practice of Addison Search, a specialized staffing firm that provides highly qualified personnel, on either a temporary project or permanent placement basis, primarily in the areas of finance and accounting, information technology, geological, engineering, legal, and land administration to a diverse client base of mid-sized businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. The company was founded in 1999 and has offices in downtown and suburban Chicago, Boston, Dallas, New York and Houston. Prior to Addison Search, Mr. Ron was the Upstream Americas Energy practice leader of the executive search firm Global Recruiters® Network of Houston Incorporated, with over 167 offices worldwide where he was recognized as the 2007 National Recruiter of the Year. He has also been recognized as one of the top (50) energy executive recruiters by several national organizations each year from 2006 through 2008 He has also been awarded the Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (CTS), Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) along with the Certified Employee Retention Specialist (CERS) professional certifications. Mr. Ron became involved in the recruiting industry after a successful career in finance and venture capital which transitioned into a majority ownership position in a nationally branded manufacturing company, which was subsequently sold. He received a BBA in Marketing and Communications while attending Texas Christian University (TCU) while on a Division I Football Scholarship. Mr. Ron is an active member of the Independent Petroleum Association (IPAA), Houston Producers Forum, Geophysical Society of Houston (GHS), Houston Geological Society (HGS), Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL) and the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL organizations.
